I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
