Intensive Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was killed in a distinct aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty rockets targeted energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area endured heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A young boy was killed and three other people were injured.

The attacks come after nights of air raids in the area, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.

Authorities told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the national power system, with assaults already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were anticipating further attacks.
